Team cherry started working on Hollow Knight 6 months before the Kickstarter. The Kickstarter was made in november 2014. So november-minus 6= May 2014. The game was released in 02/24/2017 and they finished it three days before that. So the game was developed since may 2014 until 02/21/2017.

Hollow Knight [official site] was a Kickstarter project I remember being captivated by because of the art style.It's all bluey greys and underground exploration to solve a mystery - kinda elegiac.
